The aims have not changed………. To continue where the school left off. To maintain a network of the Old Boys which enables each ex pupil to keep in touch. NETWORK OF OLD BOYS We would be eager to know if you would be interested in joining us in keeping the ideals of the old school alive. There are well over 100 names registered as members, with methods of contacting many more. Even though the school closed 31 years ago the network is continuing to expand. There is a record of members with their address, phone numbers and e mail addresses. If you have lost contact an old school friend, wondered what happened to them, or just want to know where they are, maybe we can help. This part of our service to members is confidential, so both parties must be in agreement before any information is passed on. A recent new contact from Australia was put in touch with a good school friend that had been lost to him for 52 years ! WE HAVE AN ANNUAL REUNION In October every year we organise a reunion of old boys at a leading Bournemouth Hotel. The AGM of the association is also held with a display of articles from the archives. That will be followed by a mid-day luncheon with time in the afternoon to go over old school days with others you may know. There will also be an informal summer get together at a venue to be decided at the committee meeting each February. Dates and venues will be in the spring newsletter. ARCHIVE We have an extensive collection of old school photographs going back to the turn of the 20th century, but we would be pleased to have a copy of any that may still be out there. These are both from the school at Ringwood and the later years in Bournemouth. Many of those appearing in then are not known to us, so if you have one, can we have a copy with the names .Many of the formal panoramic photographs of the school year are to hand as well as many documents pertaining to the running of the school.Uniform items, blazers, caps ties etc., are also kept in good order, but are increasingly difficult to find. One missing piece is a school football shirt, does anybody have one?.Most of the school trophies were lost in a burglary many years ago but may still be out there. Any photographs of them would be welcome. NEWSLETTER These are produced twice a year, in February and September. The latest contacts, history of old boys, achievements and photographs appear as well as anything that may be of interest to past pupils. This sent out by mail, or to those with an email address it is sent on line.Any information to keep this interesting would be welcome. SHOULD YOU WISH FURTHER INFORMATION OR HELP US IN OUR ENDEAVOURS PLEASE FILL IN THE CONTACT US FORM THAT IS PART OF THIS WEB SITE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. June Forsyth , President of the Rinewedians.
